Vascular Catheters

The use of endovascular catheters can, if they are contaminated with microbes, result in serious systemic infection. Risks of this should be greatly reduced by usage of Ai2's anti-infective peptides to coat the catheters. The anti-microbial peptide coating will prevent the colonisation of the catheter and so reduce the risk of systemic infection.
