New Collaboration with Eden Biodesign

Ai2 has begun a project with Eden Biodesign, who operate the UK's National Biomanufacturing Centre in Speke, to generate large fragments of the naturally occurring proteins from which Ai2's peptide technologies are based. The project, sponsored by Bionow, the cluster support group for Northwest England's biotechnology industry, will run until Aug 2008. Project deliverables include cells expressing the proteins and the proteins themselves, allowing the anti-infective activity of the apoE region to be studied in situ. In addition the full-length proteins produced may themselves have potential clinical applications
