Jim McNairney joins Ai2 Limited as Chief Executive


Ai2 Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim McNairney as Chief Executive. He will be based at Ai2's business operations near the University's Incubator Building in central Manchester and will be working closely with Dr. Curtis Dobson, Chief Technical Officer, who is a director and founder of the Company, and a senior research fellow at Manchester University. During December 2009, Ai2 Ltd raised further investment funds from the UPF Fund (the UMIP Premier Fund managed by MTI) and the Company's principal shareholders are now the UPF Fund, the University of Manchester and the Company's staff and management. Jim is a Microbiology graduate of Glasgow University and has extensive senior management experience in the Biosciences and Chemicals industries having worked for a number of major corporations including ICI, Zeneca, Avecia and Arch Chemicals. Jim brings broad commercial management experience and significant international commercial expertise to this role. In his career to date he has held a number of senior executive positions in Strategic Business Development, New Ventures Development and Sales & Marketing Management. He brings considerable knowledge of Peptides and Biocidal Products and their end-use markets.
